New Hope Home Flooding

A basement can hold a lot of water. Flood water finds every way possible to get into a home and a window well is the perfect opportunity.

The homeowners were glad that most of their things were in water safe containers. The water only penetrated some of the items which were either cleaned or thrown away. Could you imagine having to throw away something as precious as a wedding dress or grandpa's bomber jacket.

It is for that reason that it is important to keep valuables in water proof containers as this family did. Because the basement was unfinished we only had to pump out the water, disinfect the area, and place air movers to dry the place out.
